Does Medway area need another appeal to go through?
« on: 31 May, 2012, 06:18:14 PM »
My neighbour has got a PCN in clover street just before the slip road down to Mc Donald's.  He was parked on the double yellow lines just in front of the post stating the loading restrictions beyond that board.  He also has a blue badge that should allow him to park on the double yellow lines that he was parked on.  We are awaiting the scar pics that would have to show the cars wheels were over the T- bar.  He will appeal it any way all the way to the end but wanted to know if the notomob would like another appeal or not.  Please advise me ASAP so that I can let him know if notomob want it to add to the other or I can help him on my own.  Any advise also taken. (if you want to google earth it, he was parked in front of the arched glass church doors)

I don't think we need another TPT appeal at the moment thanks Marmite, but if you can post the ticket up here when he gets it (taking out all personal details of course) I am sure we would be happy to help out.

Was your neighbour displaying his/her Blue Badge at the time of the alleged contravention? If not, you may have to rely on the EAs discretion.

Personally, I would make an 'informal representation' to the Council and tell them that a Blue Badge holder was using the vehicle at the time and see what they say.

I apologise as he has now paid the fine, as he thought that he would have to pay the £70 if he lost.  According to the latest patas report the ticket should have been issued by a CEO as it was in the main town centre between two car parks.   Cant win them all, its how the council make their money, worrying people who cant afford to pay more....
