Title: Nutsville are at it again and so, it seems, are Wastemonster.
Post by: The Bald Eagle on 11 August, 2011, 01:19:52 PM
Check out Nutsville (link below). As a result of their previous efforts, the District Auditor has not signed off on Wastemonster's accounts for the last two years. ;D

I'm betting he's going to have to make it a hat trick this year. :pmsl:

Anyone can do this at any council. :-ev-: :-ev-: :-ev-:

Richmond's District Auditor has not signed off Richmond's accounts for last year either. This was after I filed an official objection to Richmond's accounts due to them having enforced an unlawful Loading Bay to the tune of up to £1400 a day.

The DA will also not sign off their accounts if all of the penalty money wrongly taken by the use of un-certificated MEV's is not refunded.

Nigel.

Is there any  penalty for Council's if the District Auditor refuses to sign off their accounts?

I'm just wondering as WCC does not seem to be worried about this.

I do not believe that there is any sanction. What it means is that they are unable to use the money involved. This money stays in limbo and probably earns interest for them during this time.

I will enquire with my DA next time I talk with him and let you know.
