Going through bexley this morning I saw something I hadn't seen for a long time. The NSL weasel wagon. I so wanted to go assisting to stick one in for Sir Olly but I had bigger fish to fry. Bugger. Guv was sending me to canary Wharf today so just like the 'parking' industry, I was going to the dogs. I finished early as predicted and decided to pop through Newham on the way back. Nothing doing at the usual haunts so did a bit of loitering, driving about, more loitering. Nothing doing at all. they would have only got slim pickings anyway. While I was lurking about, no one went through Browning road. There were only two at park ave and one of them was a bike coming towards where secret squirrel parks so he wouldn't have got much anyway. That was an hour and a half and not a weasel to be found anywhere. I walked up Park ave to see what was there by way of a warning. Just north of the honeypot at the junction of Langdon Crescent, there's two no through road signs without an 'except buses' plate. They must really hate the bus company.
Well, I'm sure we'll run into them sooner or later so here's some music while we're waiting.

Are those 'Dead End' signs the correct ones to put up in this instance?
I would pay to see the local Bus Company attempting to comply with that!

You just need to think outside the box. The bus carries on down to the bus stop and stops to pick up/drop off passengers. The bus company managers (who are considerably smarter than anyone at the council, but then who isn't?) have arranged for the Sikorsky sky crane to be ready above the bus stop. The sky crane then picks the bus up, turns it round and deposits it back on the road ready for it's return journey. Simples.

@ Ewan (or indeed anyone)
If you are in the Newham area and still struggling to find a $car, you might want to check out Ordnance Road, off Barking Road. ;)
-
What sort of skullduggery is that. Is it the no right turn onto the barking road?
-
Yep. In this case it isn't that the signs and lines are a problem. It would appear however, that rather than let you turn right out of this road, they would rather you turned left and then do a perfectly legal, but equally, if not more dangerous u-turn just along the road.
-
Thanks for the heads up BE. I'll make sure the Newham serfs perform that exact manoeuvre.
