Title: Friday 13th April 2012 ride out (Switched to Bexley Magistrates Court)
Post by: The Bald Eagle on 21 March, 2012, 07:03:14 PM
I was wondering if a strong presence at Olly's trial at 10.00am at Greenwich Bexley Magistrates Court might be a good idea?

I know several members have expressed an interest in going, so how about we make this a day to roll out the "WE ARE WATCHING YOU" banner (it needs an airing) and don the V masks in good, old fashioned Mob style?

Just a thought.

Sounds a plan.

And from where this started, the truth is coming out.

Well done to DI Keith Marshall, lets hope he gets well soon, and back to work (if not already on both counts)  :aplude: :aplude: :aplude:

Following peperami's link above has just led me to this download on Nutsville, its a charge certificate against Westco.

Ooh westminster what have you been up to now, apparently no monies can be withdrawn from Westco accounts without permission from Allied Irish bank due to indebtedness.

Friday the 13th the day the Knights Templar were routed, hopefully next week history will repeat itself.  Good luck Sir Olly.

Definitely on for next Friday. If Olly is convicted, I believe it will mark the beginning of the end of freedom of speech in this country.

Meet between 8.00 and 8.45am outside Martin's glass shop, for a cup of tea and a bacon roll, and then roll on down to the court.

If this turns out to be a travesty of justice, I for one want to be there to witness it. :bashy: :bashy: :bashy:

To whom it concerns, when your scar in the picture above was removed I think you car sticker, pictured below, fell out of the vehicle, I tried to alert the recovery driver and he acknowledged with a hand gesture.
So if you could let me know where to send it, i will place in the post.

If you would prefer a replacement, perhaps you would like to consider the second image of which I will glady visit and apply for you.

This is a reminder to everyone that the trial is this Friday coming (13th). I am going to be there. Wild horses couldn't keep me away.

Meet between 8.00 and 8.45am outside Martin's glass shop (DA14 6SQ), for a cup of tea and a bacon roll, and then roll on down to the court.

Even tho this wont kick off till 10am, we will need to be leaving bacon roll's and tea at 8.45am and heading to Bexleyheath.

The court is small, and there will be a lot of interest in this case, so space will be limited.

(If there is time after, a little mission will take place at a few locations within Bexley, should not take long, and dont forget your mask, camera...and tape measure, and an understanding of the Traffic signs manual  :schucks:, so that wont include anyone from the Parking Dept).

(@BE, if your up for this, I'm afraid i've left my camera somewhere, and wont be able to pick it before Friday)

If your camera isn't a mobile phone it will be impounded on entry.

If you use it in the court or even near the court you are likely to be had up for contempt. I agree it may get crowded, I have a neighbour who out of the blue announced he was going to attend to support democracy and freedom of speech. Whatever the verdict Bexley council will suffer for this one.

Is there anywhere in Bexleyheath to get one?

Where's the glass shop?

Sorry all questions tonight.

I don't know of any shops that sell them, certainly not in Bexleyheath. As for the glass shop, it's in Hollytree Parade on Sidcup Hill.

Verdict is Guilty.

I would ask for reflection before those that attended the hearing start posting. I have sat very much on the fence, and even Olly has said in a police interview he may have over stepped the mark with what he posted on twitter.

This is not all about free speech as some of us may think, myself included, and there are two sides to every story.

Just imagine how you would feel if you was this situation was aimed at you. And yes, no one was named in Olly's tweet, and no ones address was given, and one has to remember its not all about free speech.

Yes you can still call me a C***, and you can call me a W******, thats fine. But thats  not all that this case was about.

And like many out there i have jumped on the death of free speech band wagon, but there was more to this case. And Olly was not just charged with calling a councilor a C***. Had that charge been before the court, then yes, IMHO free speech would of taken a blow.

Just a little reflection, and taking a balanced approach now the dust has settled (ish)

I have just arrived home from Bexley. I agree wholeheartedly with Pep's post above.

Before attending the court I along with others did not know exactly what Olly was accused of.  Clearly he did overstep the mark as he himself admitted in his police interview.

Freedom of speech is not dead after this verdict.

Bonkers' blog today is titled "You have to laugh, don't you."
"A spokesman for Bexley Council said: 'The council is totally supportive of freedom of expression and political debate."

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2130346/Blogger-used-letter-term-councillor-Twitter-facing-jail-offensive-tweet.html#ixzz1sEHZmUnx (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2130346/Blogger-used-letter-term-councillor-Twitter-facing-jail-offensive-tweet.html#ixzz1sEHZmUnx)

The same council who employ bouncers to keep pensioners in check, ban filming or any other type of recording, discourage public questions and declare all out war on anyone who criticises them. and they wonder why Sir Olly swears a lot.
