Title: A Single Yellow Lane - on a Red Route
Post by: BGB on 20 March, 2013, 06:45:37 PM
Leman Street, between Alie Street and Prescot Street E1, is a Red Route.

This has not stopped someone, presumably Tower Hamlets Council or TfL painting a single yellow line.

I'll have to get the TMO.

Having had a quick look on Street View, I can't see this yellow line, however, I realise that Street View images aren't real time, so it could have been put there or removed between Google's visit and yours.
This street appears to be a hybrid - yes it's a Red Route (Double Red Lines etc) but the nearest parking timeplates (opposite and outside 56) are Tower Hamlets Council, and the lines marking out the boxes/bays are also in the Local Authority format (TfLs lines are usually much thicker), but then if you look at the Loading Box outside number 50 (or near the attractive young ladies walking past it!) that is clearly a TfL Loading Box, but with local authority markings which, IMHO, would make it unenforceable.  :)

Dick

Thank you for pointing this out.

I am aware of at least one PCN being issued here (and being recinded on informal appeal).

I think further enquiries of TfL and Tower Hamlets are in order. It will be interesting who has been issuing what tickets.
