Ex council worker re-hired for £750 A DAY to help authority SAVE MONEY
A FORMER council worker is being re-hired as a £750 A DAY consultant to teach the authority how to SAVE MONEY.

Worcestershire County Councillor Peter McDonald branded the town hall employee's pay packet "scandalous".
Labour group leader Mr McDonald said the decision to pay the employee about £6,000 a month for just two days of work a week "beggars belief".
The consultant, who remains anonymous, has taken on a six-month offer to oversee a major project merging public sector buildings across the county and sell off unwanted sites.
The massive task, which has up to 200 people working on it, is called the Place Partnership. Government ministers have had to sign off the project, which involves police and fire service buildings as well as councils, to try and save £75 million by 2025.
Mr McDonald said: "It really does beggar believe that the county council can insult its residents this way."
"It is scandalous and I have asked for a full explanation from the chief executive."
"This is more than most people can earn in two weeks let alone a day."
"The Tory administration is treating residents with utter contempt and demonstrating they are completely out of touch with the needs of the people."
"Residents need monies to be spent on improving services, not throwing sheds of monies on an unwanted consultant."
The consultant will earn £36,000 across the six-month deal.
But the council's chief executive Clare Marchant defended the high earnings, saying it was aimed at achieving smarter and more commercial ways of managing public sector property to help taxpayers.
She has also insisted every pound saved on property will be pumped into frontline services.
