Title: Parking outside Schools
Post by: DastardlyDick on 21 December, 2016, 07:53:14 PM
Next Year, Met. police PCSO"s are being given the power to issue FPN"s for parking in a restricted area outside schools. I can only assume that either Council's can't be a**ed, or camera's cost more.

Is that ALL PCSO's Dick or is it limited to certain areas?

All of them, after training of course - there's other stuff as well, but that's the only parking related one.
Apparently, it's something to do with the "Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014" .

What about PCSOs outside the Met police district?

Don't know, you'd need to check each force as the powers designated to PCSOs are decided by the Cheif Constable.

Apparently, TfLs RTEOs are going to be authorised to issue PCNs on Red Routes soon. The term "zero tolerance" was used in the briefing I've seen.

zero tolerance? Are you sure it didn't say 'zero intelligence'?
