Just recieved this on the Bat-mail.... (seen@notomob.co.uk)
Hello,
The sign for the NRT out of Wharf Road into City Road N1.
Has moved around to NRT into Wharf Road, from City Road Ec1.
Maybe a new scam from Islington council coming soon?.
-
I will take a ride up there in AM to confirm.
-
Just had this in from Knowledge forum. I will still take a look.
"Its 100% NRT out of Wharf rd onto City rd.
As for the NRT into Wharf rd, it looked to me as though the sign had been twisted round so that it now shows nrt from city rd into wharf rd. This sign was always facing you when you came out of wharf rd which makes me think someone has turned it around. The only thing that confused me was there was a light above it and that would have to have been twisted round as well as it was still above the sign if that makes sense".

Don't speculate, get the TMO!

TMO requested. This sign has clearly been moved by the Council and not by drunks etc.

Well this has just come in.

Islington Borough Council

Please accept my apologies for turning this matter into a bit of an epic
exchange. I had blindly accepted a colleague's assurance that we were
providing you with the requisite detail.
However, the TMO sent to you is the only TMO on our database which
refers to City Road and Wharf Road. There is none specifically
referring to a "No right turn FROM CITY ROAD INTO WHARF ROAD".
Yours sincerely
John Quinn
So no TMO for this new NRT W:T:F: W:T:F: W:T:F: W:T:F:

any chance of a camp out for an hour or so to see if anyone ignores the sign ??
and or if scameras attend ??
-
A tricky one this as City Road is a red route so TFL may have a TMO for this new restriction so I have sent an FOI to them. If they don`t have one then there is a problem at this junction for sure. Let`s see what Borris`s gang have to say first.

So back to the fun and games with Islington....http://lockerz.com/s/90597785 (http://http://lockerz.com/s/90597785)
Remember above comments from Islington "No such TMO for NRT from City Road into Wharf Road" well TFL say .....................

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 27
April 2011 asking for a copy of the Traffic Management Order for the No

However, there is a banned turn from Wharf Road into the A501 City Road.
If you require a copy of the Order which applies to this please contact
us.

So let me get this clear. Islington say no TMO exists and TFL confirm this but there IS a NRT sign there :bashy: :bashy: :bashy:
I need a lay down!!!

Please tell us a $car has been seen enforcing at that junction. If so, will you (BH) be putting an FoI in asking for details of the number of tickets issued, because if you don't, there are others on here who probably wouldn't take too much persuading? dr00L
Golden Goose 2 anyone? :rotfl: :rotfl:

@BE
I really can`t make out what has been happening here. The Knowledge lads think a drunk or the weather may have moved the sign but if you look at the picture the post (And lamp) have all been turned and I don`t think even the Hulk or a Tsunami would move that post that easily.
As both LA`s in charge of this junction clearly state there is no restriction here I have asked Islington to visit the location to rectify the matter as this road is important on the Knowledge. You are all welcome to ask them if any PCNs have been issued for making the NRT here though :-ev-:

Little victories my friends. Little victories. :aplude:
