Helping the public
« on: 19 May, 2011, 02:21:54 PM »
I have just had an e-mail from somebody I met while at work who had recieved a PCN from WCC for a Bike Bay.
I told him to not to pay and challenge it using the first challenged PCN rule and sent him the details on how to do it and what to say. He is a happy bunny as it has been cancelled,  that's two PCN's sorted this week for other people. :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"

So £120 that WCC didn't get, plus about another £80 that it cost them to respond to the appeals...

Sounds like good business to me.

It's a good feeling to be able to screw the LA and help someone at the same time. I have not finished with Barnet yet either, I am laying a trap for them.  :-ev-:

I was thinking of fly posting cars etc in Fulham and everywhere with our handout.  But I want to say more. That is got a PCN contact us and we may be able to help we also may not - but worth a visit.  Is it possible to have a guess Category, where guess can ask questions?
My flyer should be worded correctly.
Is this a good idea???

Sounds like a good idea on the face of it Java, but are there any issues with flyers and local by laws we could fall foul of?  What do others think?

cars in this area get leafleted all the time?  Is there a law about leaving a piece of paper on a vehicle?
The trick is to ask the right question FIRST!
Eg "Got a PCN Maybe you do not have to pay! No cost to you!"

Having an area on here for people to post without registering is unfortunately asking for trouble.  We'd be flooded with spam in hours.
