Off Topic - wild turkeys
« on: 02 November, 2011, 10:18:00 AM »
 :ot:
I have discovered that at my dad's place we have an infestation of wild turkeys. What did you want for Xmas?
And just recently we seem to have wild rabbits - saw a little bunny today - fluffy white.  ;D

Of course we have the wild spiders who seem to take over cars and things, some try to walk off with the cars - the cheek!  :o :o :o I forgot how big they are! A full 6 cylinder tucked under their arm.  The cob webs, enough to weave your own sails for an armada.
Still at least they do not drink the beer.
Parking is the least of our problems,  :pmsl: :pmsl: :pmsl: :pmsl: :pmsl:

Still waiting for my bike.  ::)))  ::)))

That's the only thing that frightens me about down under. you've got 'proper' spiders, big buggers that can tranquillise a horse. Those ones that hide under the toilet seat are poisonous aren't they? I've heard they can give your 'arse a nick.'

Appealing to the council is like playing chess with a pigeon. You might be a chess grand master but the pigeon will always knock all the pieces over, shit on the board and then strut around triumphantly.

Yep red backs are deadly!  and like to hide under the toilet seat and many other places.
Today second time in a week we had a termite swarming. Thousands (maybe a lot more) they land in everything and they just keep coming.
You have to cover your beer. Close the windows - the buggers seem to fly thru the fly screen.

Welcome to Australia, where everything is dangerous. The video only showed the nice ones, there are worse.  At least you got to see the 'true' side of a koala.
Only 3 weeks to Bluey arrives.

I thought we stopped sending the dregs of our society to Australia many years ago. <_>
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"
