Brief evening buslane session - 13th Dec.
« on: 13 December, 2011, 09:54:16 PM »
Saw the $car turn up when I popped to the cash machine earlier in the evening so after getting myself well fed I popped back down for 45 minutes on foot with my signs. 1 car came down from the top end and straight through so will have been got, but 4 who came along Medway Street took heed and saved themselves £60. Last one told me I should be at home not out freezing bits off, but thanks anyway. And I think I scared the crap out of the slow driving 20ish lad in a tarted up small Peugeot. He mistook the fluoro vest and dark peaked hat for some sort of official uniform I think when he stopped. Then again I did start by pointing out to him that he didn't have any lights on....

So if people are still using the bus lane at that sort of rate even on a very quiet night, the car there for say 2 hours (approx 7.15 to 9.15, maybe later) must be raking them in about £420 an hour on average...
