PCN stats
« on: 01 January, 2011, 03:38:45 PM »
Since I know some of you like this kind of thing, here are some published stats for you to get your teeth into.

Two things jumped straight out of the page at me.

(1) The very high percentage of appeals that were allowed against Wastemonster compared to other councils.

(2) The significant drop in PCNs issued by Westminster in 2009/10.

2005/06 - total PCNs issued - 722,076
2006/07 - total PCNs issued - 823,831
2007/08 - total PCNs issued - 824,687
2008/09 - total PCNs issued - 695,966
2009/10 - total PCNs issued - 500,275

So last year they were 324,412 tickets down from 2007/08 which equates (at an average of £72) to a drop of (and I had to check this figure 3 times to make sure I got it right) £23,357,664 in income.

Which may explain why Wastemonster are so desparate to get more and more $cars out there [s:1ye5asve]earning[/s:1ye5asve] keeping the public safe.

Keep up the good work BE! :aplude: Good to see you have been busy doing a New Year`s day tidy up of the videos :pmsl: Mrs BE must be proud of your house keeping skills :dancing:

Remember, WCC claim that their new approach is "The quality of the PCN, not the quantity" :pmsl:

I just screamed "F*CK" out of my office while the Royal Shakespeare Company put on some theatre outside.   I think I might get a complaint in a minute.

£23million?!?!?!?

HOW THE HELL IS THAT REVENUE NEUTRAL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I think you'll find that under the law it's the parking charges that are supposed to be revenue neutral, not the fines. :( :bashy:
