Just submitted this:

To: Southwark Borough Council
Subject: Freedom of Information request - CCTV enforced offences in Valmar Raod

Dear Southwark Borough Council,

In October last year, I advised the council that the No Loading
section of the yellow lines on the north side of Valmar Rd was
incorrectly marked. Please see your drawing number 07_Q4_040 and
item 7 of the attached TMO. The No Loading marks (double kerb
blips) extended too far by at least 6.5m. Consequently, many of the
PCNs issued for contravening the illegally placed markings were
invalid. I would guess that Offence Code 02 would have been used.
My understanding is that the markings were repainted early last
year and were corrected in early November. As an aside, I would
advise that the new markings have worn very badly and are now
almost indistinguishable from the visible remains of the illegal
markings.

Mahmood Hassan of Parking Services wrote saying: "The PCN's issued
to the vehicles for being parked on yellow lines where kerb
markings were mistakenly extended to a point not specified in TMO
by the contractor, have been cancelled and money refunded where a
payment was received."

My questions are, during the period January - November 2010:

1)How many PCN's were issued under the above circumstances?
2)How many of these PCN's have been:
a) Cancelled?
b) Refunded?

Yours faithfully,

Another scalp on your belt mate.  At this rate we'll have all of the parking departments in every council in the country living in fear of a visit from the No To Mob.

Great result Bruce.  Well done mate. :aplude: :aplude: :aplude:

Now then. Need any help with the Southwark $camera cars? :-ev-:
