Couple of new sites (in the Victoria area) that have become popular for the $cameras so worth keeping an eye on.

Ebury Street.  Car parks in South Eaton Place catching anyone going through the no entry toward Semley Place.  This seems a nice little earner!
The road layout is a convoluted mess and negotiating the maze to the Shell garage is confusing and I'm not certain about the strict legality of some other possible maneuvers although the vagueness would make anything unenforceable.  I had a cabbie ask me for directions to negoitiate the junction! The garage is very popular with taxis (and Bentleys and Chelsea tractors!).  I stand on the chevrons which obstructs anyone about to make the mistake (and is safer than trying to jump out and block them!).  I park on Ebury St which means I'm close enough to relocate if a CEO shows up.  Alternative is to park in the petrol station.

West Halkin Street.  Apparently to enforce 'access only for coaches'.  Car may park on Belgrave Square or on/close to West Halkin Street.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"

Probably worth asking the garage what they think of WCC milking their customers.  Surely not good for business?  Maybe they would like to complain?  As for the bike, it's out of the way and available to be moved if anyone has any issue.

Craven Road (Paddington).  Car parks on Devonshire Terrace to milk cabbies (and others) who pick up from the crossing zig zags on Craven Road.  Many thanks to the cabbie who confirmed these details.  I suspect the catch is, when you're hailed, the temptation is to pull in by one of the junctions near the passenger so as not to obstruct visibility or traffic on Craven Road.  But the zig zags make this illegal.  Better to stop further from passenger blocking road and visibility.

A cabbie told me that he'd seen a $CAMera car by St Peter's Church, Eaton Sq. Would somebody check it out and post pics?

Oh dear.

I distinctly remember assisting a $camera car at Aldwych recently (remember Jonesy doing the $chunter shuffle outside St Clement's Church?) yet I can't find any mention of it on the list either.
