Residents unite over “unreasonable” parking tickets

Homeowners in Charles Babbage Close said the petty parking penalties were becoming too much and many of them had now resulted to parking in the street in order to avoid being fined on their own driveways Pat Barrie, 47, who has lived in the road for more than 10 years was given a penalty notice of £55 for parking just off the line of her own driveway in February.

If the car was parked in the same position as it is shown in the Newspaper article, it's not on the footpath anyway, AFAIK the contravention is "parked with one or more wheels on the footpath" which clearly this isn't because the footpath is on the lefthand side of that light grey stripe.

Still, I suppose it helped the CEO towards his/her targets.
