I have just seen the case has been moved to Uxbridge Magistrates Court for Monday at 10:00am.
Would this be an attempt to keep Local people away do you think?

Let's hope he opts for a trial by jury. That way he will have to nobble twelve citizens instead of calling in some favours from his magistrate friends.

Cynical? Moi?

Could the move be to make it less likely his 'friends' will be on the bench?
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing.

It seems he is charged with common assault and due care driving.

Both will be heard a mags court I think.

Unfortunatley, Common Assault is a Summary Offence in England and Wales, so no hope of a Crown Court Trial there :-(
Driving without due care and attention gets between 3 and 9 points, a fine of up to £5000 or disqualification at the discretion of the Court. It could be that if Coleman already has points on his Licence, he'll get automatic disqualification under "totting up" rules :-)

I expect Coleman (or rather, his Solicitor) will arrange for him to go into Court throgh the rear entrance, not the public one.

I understand he's familiar with the rear entrance.

Appealing to the council is like playing chess with a pigeon. You might be a chess grand master but the pigeon will always knock all the pieces over, shit on the board and then strut around triumphantly.

Only by members of the Clergy mate,  others call him "that Arsehole"  it may even be an official title.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"

I'm told that his breath smells like it came from his arsehole - I wonder if his wife/partner/significant other can tell one end from the other?

Presumably he stays suspended from the Conservative Party until February, then?

Can he still claim all his council expenses over Christmas?

He is an independent Councillor now I think Bob, I wonder if he will turn up for tomorrows extraordinary meeting at the Town Hall.

.......... extraordinary meeting ............

That's a fine description if ever I saw one.

The court coverage was on London Tonight on the telly. There were a couple of characters in Hi-viz in the background in a fleeting glimpse. Any of you lot?

Ahem...  The NTM were indeed in attendance in no particular order (ok its the order of arrival) BE, me and SHMBO both in civies, Coco, Kill Switch (but not his exhaust) apparently it liked the A40 so much it decided to stay there, and last but not least Piquet.
If you look very carefully You can see me following the turd of Barnet down the slope videoing him.  I will be signing body parts and turning on Christmas lights in the near future.  :rotfl:
