Birmingham Council
« on: 23 October, 2012, 04:23:23 PM »
It has today been announced that Birmingham council need to make £600 million pounds of savings in 5 years, so the solution is to make reductions in staffing of 1000.

That by my calculations is £600,000 an employee which equates to a yearly salary of £120,000.

No wonder they are in this position, shame the gravey train has hit the buffers, I was thinking of applying maybe as a wheelie bin technician, only blue collar though that salary wont stretch to management.

Which then brings me to wonder why a surplus in the Olympic bugdet is to be given to the treasurey. I would have thought this should be given back to London's council tax payers who have contributed towards it for the last five years.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
