If you come up ashtree lane right outside the pub at the top on a post is a video camera about 6 ft high. Also on the other side there is another on on a post. Canterbury street after the first bus shelter there are cameras on either side again about 6 ft high on posts. Any body know what is being recorded on these ? They say traffic survey ?

Normally these cameras are used to gain traffic flow information and habits. I think the info gained is used when trying to asses what changes could be made to junctions etc.  Recently the whole of Station Road Edgware was covered by these cameras as were all the junctions including service roads, I suspect it is the warning signs of upheaval and general exasperation as this place is always gridlocked by the damn Buses. Too many routes running out of one station!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"
