Thanks DD. 8)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"

Here is the blurb

When a CCTV camera snaps your car and you get a ticket in the post, how annoyed do you get? More motorists face this frustration as councils are now fining drivers in ever-greater numbers after capturing them on CCTV. They claim they do it to keep the traffic flowing smoother.

But private emails obtained by Panorama reveal a different story, with officials congratulating each other on the number of tickets issued: 'Another record month, guys. Well done,' says one.

The programme visits the box junction where the council fines so many drivers - 29,000 last year alone - that it's known as the 'Money Box', and tries to find new ways to cut down the mountain of traffic tickets now issued every year.

And here is a preamble to what features in tonight's panorama.

As usual the council have entered default mode.

Deny. Deny. Deny.

Hmmmm........weasels congratulating themselves in stopping your kids from eating this week is just a bit of office banter. I wonder if Patrick Troy has a few words on this subject. I can guess which type of words they are.

Appealing to the council is like playing chess with a pigeon. You might be a chess grand master but the pigeon will always knock all the pieces over, shit on the board and then strut around triumphantly.

Watching this now.
Hilarious denials from councils. Ridiculous 30 yard bus lane. Cancelling the mayors tickets. Screw the plebs
But as well all know its NOT about the money and all about safety.  We don't want to kill kittens do we?  ::)

I once drove 10m in a London bus lane, never again! Shortly after 100 orphanages burnt down and 300 kittens were violently killed.  :o That scene of carnage from my 10m bus lane jaunt convinced me never to go in a bus lane again!

Somebody think of the kids
Save the kittens

Let's get this right please Ewan. Surely Pat Trickus Troyus In light of his guest blog here http://nutsville.com/2013/06/12/spartacus-shows-up-the-farce-of-getting-a-parking-ticket-on-private-land/) is the appropriate name for all of us to call him given Spartacus's challenge to the faux justice that is apparently meted out by the joke organisation known as Popla. Or should it not be just Trickus? <_>

Maximus Trickus, Bellend of Troy, Useless C :o nticus. He is a weasel of many names but only one nature. The nature of a weasel. If you tire of POPLA's faux justice you could just stick with the weasel company's appeal weasel. A young lady named Tracy Kiss did just that.

http://www.tracykiss.com/product-reviews/my-ukpc-parking-charge/

Long story short, after Tracy Proved conclusively to the appeal weasel that she had paid for her parking and therefore was compliant with UKPC T&Cs, the appeal weasel cancelled her £90 charge and as a gesture of goodwill only (tried to) fined her £15. That was nice of him/her/it.

Appealing to the council is like playing chess with a pigeon. You might be a chess grand master but the pigeon will always knock all the pieces over, shit on the board and then strut around triumphantly.
