Ring of Red - Remembrance Sunday 10/11/2013
« on: 04 November, 2013, 06:10:46 PM »
This is an event for bikers on Remembrance Sunday 10th November 2013.

The aim is to form a circle of bikers dressed in red and wearing poppies riding Clockwise around the M25 making the biggest Poppy in the World.
This ride is intended to present a physical show of support for our Armed Forces, both current and previous. Not every biker goes to a remembrance service on this day, but I do know that they Respect our armed service men and women. This is just another way of showing it.
The event was an idea by Julia Stevenson, a well known respected biker in the Ride of Respect Rideouts.
It is a non-profit event with all monies raised from the sale of the patches (after expenses) being given to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

I will be joining in, if only for a couple of junctions.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"

What a fantastic sight it was today, red clad bikers as far as the eye could see. This is going to be a regular ride I think. Well done to the organisers.  :aplude: :aplude: :aplude: :aplude: :aplude: :aplude:
