Looking at the fake penalty, they are trying to charge you £100 for a 24 minute stop?  That is just outrageous!

Follow my advice KS, and you will be just fine.

A mate of mine received a DIY Speculative Invoice, these are where a company pays some ne'er do wells to suply them with sticky plastic wallets for a pseudo parking ticket. Then the shop or company take a picture of the car and stick the worthless paper to the windscreen.
The speculative invoice came through the post and the photos are a joke! No index number of the vehicle in view, and an indistinguishable blurry picture of  tax disc.   No pictures to show what car it is, where it is or any signs!

As much as I would love to have some fun with this he is going to take the "Option number 1" Ignore the twats.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"

I would like to appeal on the following grounds,

1) Whoever issued this invoice is a massive bell end. (not you Dr. You're obviously not unique)

Appealing to the council is like playing chess with a pigeon. You might be a chess grand master but the pigeon will always knock all the pieces over, shit on the board and then strut around triumphantly.

Are you sure it's not a debt collector?

It's not "Debt Recovery Plus" is it?

I notice from your Notice to Keeper "Failure to adhere to signage at site"

You need to take some better glue with you next time!

The Debt recovery agency have no power or right to demand money from you than I do.  They are trying to scare your friend and are using scare tactics.

Roxburghe are not bailiffs, they are a debt recovery agency, again, no power.

I suggest that your friend returns the demanding threat-o-gram to them and write "NO CONTRACT" on it and they will return the "debt" to Euro Car Parks.

I have done a bit of research and they are unlikely to take it any further, especially not court.

Roxburghe are the tossers who wrote to me after the Parking Eye Speculative Invoice got the Arse softness test as did Grahame White Solicitors. I think they are all owned by the same shower of failed illegal clampers. F*CKEM!

I wouldn't go down the route of this 'Freeman on the Land' "No Contract" nonsense if it was me - their approach has been comprehensivley discredited.
