taking notes
« on: 17 February, 2011, 09:45:51 AM »
I have been taking notes recently about the cars movements at the rear of our building, they tend to take chances at random intervals, they don't like being photographed (as I found out when they were waiting at some lights) and I also believe its being used as a personal taxi for the co driver, who gets picked up for "work" by it.

Gibbo, where do you think their pen is? I think its draper court car park as I've seen it parked up there late at night at times.

As I also posted in a different thread, Kingston is very close for me, and as such, I am up for $chunting here.

Just a warning to all.

CEO's used to travel in private cars at times. not sure if they still do this?

So they could pull up behind your bike if its parked on Double Yellows whilst $CHUNTING,  and start handing out PCN's.

(Kingstons finest stung me twice with this, whilst unloading shopping from the car into a flat, looked out the window, saw what was going on, and he was off before i got out the front door  :bashy:)

I have shot off an email regarding a specific road and contraventions aswell as leniency given to a building site who often leaves their 20 tonne'rs in the MIDDLE of a road and don't get tickets.

Also asked for costs and return thus far. I hope they don't read this forum...

they've replied very quickly and been very forthcoming with information. I have the cost of the vehicle and revenue return too.
They're keen to stress that at school drop off/pick up times the vehicle is monitoring a drop off zone. But inbetween it "roams" (code for "not quite sure")

Also regarding compliance my friendly parking manager does say that he hasn't noticed an increase in compliance but its been a relatively short time since it was introduced and I think they'd rather like to wait a little longer before making a judgement.

Also the lovely window tints seem to come standard from toyota (probably an NSL catch) I will welcome any feedback on what I've written and put up the copy of the email later for all to see. I won't publish the first one as its mainly TMO info I'm going to measure and dig into

Your information re the iQ window tints is absolutly correct - I've got an iQ, and you can't specify clear glass.

Acknowledged :) I was just hoping it wasn't an optional extra they paid for! But if its standard its standard. And ever since I requested the TMO for the rear of the building the camera car hasn't come around there, slightly odd but tape measure and guide book out tomorrow! Time to look like a nutter measuring the road!

I'd be well up for a schunt in Kingston.   It'd be interesting to head in the opposite direction from Wimbledon for a change.

On the other hand, if the white paint is pearlescent, that is non standard, and costs £520 per car.
The only colour that is free is red!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"
