Fantastic work guys, big repesct MG! :aplude: :aplude: :aplude: I'm not worthy! I called it a day about 2pm. (I did have a pressing engagement tho! Ahem! :schucks:)

Thought I'd post up a report of my exploits this morning: -

After a hearty breakfast at Camley St, Coco and I were dispatched to O street pigpen to check on the $camera numbers, whilst others went to the West End to help out with two cars that had been active that morning (MG had had her tractor-beam on one since 8am). On arrival it became apparent that Wastemonster have acquired a new ANPR van bringing the grand total of $camera vehicles now up to 10! (2xvans, both ANPR equipped and 8x cars (4 ANPR equipped)) Both vans were present and 6cars although one of these is probably u/s as it has a nasty gash down the rear offside quarter! :o I learnt later from a member of the public at O Street, that this $camera car had acquired this "redesign" after one of the WCC bin lorries had backed into it! :rotfl: What with the lack of use of the $camera cars recently and the fact that WCC have nowhere else to store them except to park them on the street, the refuse lorry drivers have apparently complained at the lack of space they have to negotiate their trucks around the O Street/Capland St. junction!  :pmsl:
Maybe this is another reason why WCC seem to be trying to get their little mobile money makers out and about a bit more. This morning, there seemed to be three operating - whether they were enforcing mobile traffic offences tho remained to be seen? They did seem to be playing silly buggers abit more today - dunno whether this is a change of tactics from "up on high" or not. First evidence of this was when one of the security guards from the pigpen came out to Coco and I and said that his Supervisor had instructed him to take our registration numbers! W:T:F: I really don't know why because if the Supervisor had only looked out of his office window, he could see them plainly enough! Was this supposed to be intimidating?
Eventually, after a few false starts and runs around the block where the $car returned almost immediately, I followed an ANPR car from the pigpen. He seemed a bit confused as to where he was going and would indicate left for a while before changing his mind and indicating right before finally turning left at the junction when the lights changed! This seemed to be the order of the day as the driver would slow before a set of lights before accelerating thro' just as they started to change. Good job I'm not sensitive - I got the distinct impression that he didn't want me following him!!
After plenty of shenanigans we pulled up in Salisbury Place W1, behind the WCC library on Marylebone Rd. This cobbled street is east bound only and is the first little street south of and parallel with Marylebone Rd. Here the driver stopped and picked up an operator.
 This is pure conjecture, but I couldn't help notice that this had all the hallmarks of a future honeypot as the junction with Salisbury Place and the northbound only Gloucester Place and directly opposite Bickenhall St. is pretty confusing. I mention this as the car stopped here for 10mins or so and seemed to pay alot of attention to this particular junction. ::)
It was whilst waiting for the $car's next move and mindful of the potential for getting a ticket whilst being stopped on a single yellow, that I noticed a CEO come out of the back of the library building and walk along the street towards me. I asked the CEO when it was ok to park on single yellows and whilst he was talking to me - he was very pleasant and said he was new - he was barked at by the operator in the $camera car in a most aggressive way. I don't know what he said but the CEO looked very sheepish and moved off. I tried to talk to the operator in the $car to question his action but he kept his window shut tight and thought the best course of action was to ignore me. W:T:F: Not exactly helpful or particularly polite. :bashy:
Soon after that we moved off again and eventually settled in and around the Queensway W2 area particularly Leinster and Princes Sq. All the time the driver was trying to lose me (what are they trying to hide?) but it was fairly evident that they were only doing ANPR parking stuff as they were trawling very sluggishly, about 10-15mph along the road. This must be incredibly frustrating for folk trying to get around, as very often today, we'd be driving down a road that was either one way or too narrow to overtake. This, coupled with the fact that some people seem a bit unsure as to what the $cars are capable of, and are therefore reluctant to overtake. Quite a few times today, I'd let a cheesed off driver pass me to tailgate the $car and push them along a bit. In the same way that I only like bendy buses during WMBC/SC, I've now discovered that aggressively driven German saloons can be quite amusing and useful too - but only when they're haranguing $cars. :rotfl:
Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera today (or a working hands-free  :schucks:- sorry Twiggy, back at Mission Control) but twice the $car went through a temporary No Entry sign on Garway Rd W2. :o I questioned the driver about it and he claimed he "didn't see it". :o A gentleman in a biege Vauxhall Zafira also stopped to say "I hope he's not giving out tickets for going thro' no entry signs as I've just seen him go thro' one". I gave him our web address, so maybe he'll get in touch. The $car also reversed the wrong way up a one way street too - until he got to me that is and I explained that bikes don't have reverse gears.
I finally followed the $car to Inverness Terrace/Porchester Gardens W2, where he parked up for about an hour, the driver got out and I was finally able to phone in and get some re-inforcements in the shape of BE and Coco.
I was only around until about 2pm, but it was a good (1/2) day of Old Skool $chunting in that we had to find $cars and stick with them.
Have no doubt that the message is getting out there. The amount of people who gave me the thumbs up or wanted to know what was going on was immense. I think as soon as people see that little iQ and notice the cameras they look very suspiciously at it, but as soon as they see the accompanying biker, 9 times out of 10 this look of disgust is replaced with a knowing smile or wave.

Sounds like we need to be sure we have our video cams at the ready as there is some prime footage to be had if they start their evasive tactics again ;-)

Having heard about everyone's exploits today I hope Boyo's isn't the last thing we have the pleasure of reading. We need to keep a record of this please, so whatever you remeber, please put up here now or it may be forgotten, even though it might appear insignificant at the time.

In particular, can someone please explain the significance of Brewer Street and Lexington Place(?). Also, why did they take the $cars off the street and into the compound bit at the side?

Any intel may turn out to be good. It may just be that we don't know it's good yet.

Stay cool 8)

Pitched up at Savile Row around 11:30 and staked out one of the IQ's for a bit (on video) at the usual Conduit St junction (right under the fixed CCTV, demonstrating the uselessness of said device). Not long after, reinforcements arrived. Made sure all businesses overlooking the spot got NoTo cards and instructions to give us the heads up when the scamera shows up. The IQ hung around for a bit, then scooted off. We followed him back to Lexington St and a few mins later another arrived. A CEO got into the 2nd one and then drove him around in circles in the Grosvenor Sq area (ANPR testing?) with frequent stops in quiet mews for 5-10 mins (WTF?). The CEO got out a couple of times when illegally parked victims were spotted. On only one occasion did I see him issue a PCN. Another fantastic use of resources  ::) The other NoTo crew went after the 1st to leave. I lost my car after he dropped off his CEO, I think to issue a ticket, then parked up on the yellows in Bond St. Returned to Savile Row for a bit, went for lunch at Camley St cabbie's cafe, then met up with BE to formulate subtle and cunning plans

Hi guys,   :D
I arrived at Orc St at 7.45, I did want to get there early to catch what I thought, was! the only car that keeps going out on its own ...I was only there 5 Min's or so and just had time to change my gloves and the driver and passenger come out! (the look on their faces PRICLESS :pmsl:) .... I'm straight on the car, I  assisted the $car it to sits first few stops in West End, in which all the $car did was just to sit there on double yellow to try and loose me, we then headed to Saville Row, I get my board out, but cant leave the bike so stay very close it, a bus driver pulls up his double decker put his hand out the window to shake mine,, awww I'm all warm inside now,  :schucks: even though its still raining!.. ::)... OK I really need the loo now  :schucks:.. but wont leave the $car, so I called BE to see who was out, (think he was a bit taken back I was out so early W:T:F:, but i was determind!!), he was at home, but said he says he on his way in.. 40Min's.. OK, i can hold on for that long i think! ....The $car and
I head of for a little tour and arrive at Oxendon street and the passenger gets out to drop off paper work.. I ring BE and tell him where I am, he says he is ten Min's away cool, 8) ....as soon as the driver saw me on the phone he shoots off, with me on his tail...in a little circle back to Oxendon St, he did this four times!, then while we waiting for his passenger to return a Policeman comes up to me, shakes my hand, and the ask me "do you ride along showing that "double" board off? (you couldn't it make it up could you?, a very nice copper but i wouldn't like to see him handle sub-atomic particles!!  ;D
Anyway  BE catches up we me in Brooke St,  :aplude: and we stay on the car, I think for an hour or so and all the time time I'm looking for a garage to peel off to... then the $car pulls over on a main road (I'm not sure where we was) BE stays behind it, I head off up the road a little, BE and $car are now out of my view...then I see a scar coming towards me, so  I follow that wondering where BE has gone and bladder now at bursting point... My $car now slowly driving around W2 doing ANPR, Ive keeped in touch With Parking Warrior and he is sending BH to me... a little later i pull up at the lights and see BH, but he was looking right... I'm tooting him and thinking (politely)  LOOK LEFT BH, JUST LOOK LEFT!!!..but he cant hear my horn...I'm now very desperate for him to take the on the $car as involuntary muscle are about to come into play....
Luckily we then headed back to the pen at Or St... where BE boyo and Coco, were waiting,, I shot pass them all to the nearest cafe....ahh bliss.....got back to the pen and took off with another car only to go round the block or so  :( ...we stayed at the pen and didnt dare go off for a bacon roll cough cough... Killswitch and I stayed until 9pm with no signs of life or the night time driver we called it a day.....but i didnt really want too :rotfl:
I have got to say, the driving by the CCTV drivers today was completely irresponsible and very dangerous, >:(, shooting red lights, cutting up cyclist, >:( & speeding etc...I will be writing a stiff letter on carboard to WCC!!
MG  ;D

Oh and yes Kill Switch , I was right about the lamb samosa!!!! :rotfl:
did  i miss anything?

I got to the Camley St cafe at 08:45 and had a cholesterol special with toast not fried bread as I am making a small effort to help the arteries  ;D   By the way BE it is a very nice way to start a day of chunting, you should try it mate  :rotfl:
I then went on a low profile ride around $camden $car country checking possible honey pots and some known ones for future hunting. I got a tad wet to say the least. decided to make my way back to the cafe for a cuppa and check in with $chunt control or FPW as he is also known. [s:1z053o9u]He asked told ordered[/s:1z053o9u] naw fuck it threatened me with death if I didn't do as I was told.   Only joking mate  :-*   to go to Portland Crescent and check in when I was there as he was trying to get me onto a $car that BE and Esinem were following. FPW directed me Brewer St where Met with Esinem, BE was further down the road.
The $car picked up a CEO and was off with me And Esinem in tow we followed the $car all over the Mayfair area for quite some time going around in circles with stops at Grosvenor Square,Adams Row several times, Brook St,  Davies St and stop to check a silver grey 4X4 MPV on single yellow line,Driver gets out walks over to the car and inspects the windscreen stickers walks back to the $car saying to the CEO who is still in the $car "its Westminster City". Now there was allready a CEO in this street about four cars down???
The $car drives across the road and the CEO gets out to inspect another car on double yellow lines, but this time the $car drives off with me in tow (this is where I lost sight of Esinem) we do a few turns but generally I could see we were going to head back to pick up the CEO.
We end up back were the CEO was and in he gets and we are off again all over Mayfair with little stops here and there,
now we end up at St  Jamses Sq with a quite impressive 6 or 7 times round the SQ each one getting a little faster I think.
I get the impression the system was being tested to see how fast they could go and for it still to work. Lots of heads down looking at the Tablet that the CEO had in his lap by the driver as well. I also noticed the driver doing a lot of pointing to road name signs at junctions as well. I think I was following a $car/CEO under test, I also got sight of a clip board with a form of the same layout as we have Photographed before with about  6 or 7 lines of info filled out.
Now we headed back to Brewer St to drop of the CEO from Lexington St the driver also went to the boot of the $car and removed something and also went to Lexington St.
I think they stop in Brewer St as it gives them more leaving options than Lexington would, also the road is much wider as Lexington is very tight. I spoke to FPW several times during my escort duties and he called in Baliff Hunter and Whiteshadow to take over duties at Brewer St.
The $car was driven on the whole very well with only a couple of half arsed attempts to loose the escort.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"
