BE told me he had 17 schunters out covering Camden and Westminster so I decided it was time to introduce Lambeth to the NoToMoB and I started $CHUNTING in Lambeth at 11.00 and within 5 mins of entering the borough going down Greyhound lane I see a Lambeth Scamera exiting Eardley road (thanks to BH for the tip) after a quick u turn on the bridge I see him turn into Estreham road and damn
I miss the lights on the bridge. So I edge forward to see if I can see where he went only to find he has parked up in Streatham Common station and see him exiting the Scamera. :dancing: When I finally get through the lights and arrive behind the Scamera I see it is unattended. (It appears Lambeth only send a driver out with the cars during the day). He does not look happy to see me on his return
but he does look somewhat relieved
LOL. Anyway off I go to cheers by the cabbies from their office next to the station that all come out filming with their phones and cheering as do members of the public outside the station.
It is such a good feeling the public support we have. After doing the magic roundabout around a few streets he comes to rest in Greyhound lane enforcing a weight restriction so out with the board and assisting begins. Many motorists tooting and many thumbs up,
they seem to know of us already in Lambeth. After more magic roundabout action he stops gets out and takes down my reg number, just what he is going to do with this data I do not know as I was doing nothing illegal but I feel an FOI is due!!
Off we go again and then low and behold just like a london bus I now have not one but two Lambeth Scameras in front of me. :dancing: :dancing: Like a dream come true and for a short while 50% of Lambeth’s Scamera fleet is being schunted by a lone member of the NoToMoB, even if it was only for a few minutes. Anyway Scamera 2 breaks off so I stick with Scamera 1 and escort it back to the Lambeth pigpen in Waterworks Road SW2. This pigpen site is owned by ATS Tyres and after speaking to them we have permission to park there whenever we like. They don’t exactly get on with the NSL staff and are constantly complaining about their parking in the yard. LMAO.
Apparently they only have access to their unit. I can plainly see the Scamera is not going to come out to play and as it is lunchtime I decide to take a break for lunch. I then return to Lambeth at 17:00 and begin a search but word must be out and I search all the known honeypots but no joy so return to the pigpen just after 18:00. Lambeth have 3 smart Scameras and One van and I now suspect that the pigpen site found by BH Bellefields Road, opp Brixton Academy is where they were downloading their data . I get an invite by the newly arrived nightdriver to come in and have a word with his boss it’s just a pity he never spoke to his boss before inviting me into their den as his boss in his little booth inside was none to pleased and starts accusing me of trespass and he is going to call the Police, to which the night diver points out he kindly invited me in.
I then politely request the Boss phone the police in full knowledge I was armed and prepared with a loaded Statement of intent. A short while later Monkeygirl, Killswitch, Flying Kiwi, Billie.skeggs all join me at Waterworks road after assisting Westminster all day, and then in come the Scameras and shortly after a police van arrives with two officers with beaming smiles on their faces as soon as they catch sight of us ( or was it just the sight of Killswitch). Statement of Intent is deployed and after some cordial and polite dialogue one officer has a word with the Boss and all is well with the world and the officers leave. A short while later Killswitch leaves (apparently he had and appointment with some alcoholic beverages) and then the night driver with sidekick leaves with Monkeygirl,FPW, Flying Kiwi, Billie.skeggs is tow. A brief run to Clapham common one parking ticket issued (a lot of effort for one ticket) and after a short while Monkeygirl can be heard shouting something about a helmet lead and a pigpen so as it is getting late we return to Lambeth pigpen to the sight of an overjoyed Monkeygirl reunited with her handsfree lead. :dancing: :dancing: Well Lambeth have been officially introduced to the NoToMoB. Well done to all, I can see a bright future filled with joy in this particular borough for the NoToMoB.
