Accident
« on: 05 April, 2011, 06:56:31 PM »
I met with @Bennage this PM to hand him a mobile phone for the Mob`s contact sim and whilst on Camden Road at about 3.30PM, I witnessed a young girl on a bike get crushed by a lorry as it turned into St Pancras Way. An AA man and myself did what we could but it was a fucking waste of time, she was gone.

I`m waiting for plod as I write to call me for a statement. What a fucking waste of life.

Terrible way to go: makes you think of your own when they are out there...

Don't dwell it on it BH.

BH Next time you are amoungst your mates, Talk it out, get it off your chest. This lot will listen if you need it. Awful thing to witness.

Fuck.

If you're near the Roundhouse again, let me now and I'll get you a cuppa in the cafe here.  Not much, but it's the little things like that that help.

Let me know.

As others have said, very tragic and a total waste of life.
Having seen something similar - a loooong time ago now - I can tell you that staps's advice is excellent.

Grim.

We tend to think of life ending as some sort of huge, slow motion event with a booming orchestra to mark it, just way we see it in the films.
The tragic reality is that something as mundane as a lorry turning left can rob the world of a human life in the blink of an eye.

Sympathies to the woman, her family and your good self BH.

This is bad news BH I just got of the phone from SHMBO and a young 20 year old lass has just been hit outside home and is in a bad way.  Also over the week end some dick head was riding around where I live at 80 to 100 mph in a 20 limit and stuffed himself into a truck!!!!! So shit happens and we can't stop it all we can do is try.
Try not to loose sleep over it mate you tried to make a difference but it was not to be. Next time BH next time.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,  totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a  ride!!"
