'Parking' fines double for boats that stay too long at Thames moorings in Oxford

“This is a deterrent, not a money-making initiative.

“If we don’t have to issue any charges then I will be really pleased because it will show that it is working.”

Yeh right! Where have we heard that before?

And it's worth noting that it is one Helen Crozier who holds the post of "Civil Enforcement Manager" at Oxfordshire County Council. This is the same Helen Crozier who is the current scapegoat patsy President of the BPA Ltd.

To be fair, it's the Environment Agency that's decided to start charging for parking your boat not the Council (for a change).  :)

Yes, but it is our Helen who is responsible for enforcement, and isn't it convenient that one of her BPA Ltd's clients has landed the role.

Cynical?

These scum sucking shysters to be exact,

http://www.district-enforcement.co.uk

Our parking services business model involves ticketing vehicles subject to parking charges and pursuing outstanding charges (colloquially known as parking fines) through a range of specialised legal routes. The process of allowing the motorist a route to challenge the issue of the charge minimises distress by giving them a fair arbitration system, underpinned by the impartiality of the courts.  :rotfl:
Appealing to the council is like playing chess with a pigeon. You might be a chess grand master but the pigeon will always knock all the pieces over, shit on the board and then strut around triumphantly.

I don't think Ms Crozier is responsible for Enforcing this particular racket, as she works for Oxfordshire County Council (and the BPA, of course) not the Environment Agency.

According to Oxfordshire County Council, who do all CPE in Oxfordshire, their CPE enforcement is done by our old (ahem) 'friends' NSL in Oxford, which, along with Abingdon and Wallingford are the only places in Oxfordshire where CPE exists, TVP being responsible for on street Enforcement everywhere else.

I suppose it is fairly inevitable that the Environment Agency contract goes to a BPA Ltd member company as most (if not all) PPCs belong to that particular organization.

Interestingly, District Enforcement gives it's "nature of business" as "other business support services" and lists no directors at Companies House, but as they are a Private Limited Company, I guess they don't have to?
