Here is something you dont see all to often.
« on: 07 March, 2012, 07:26:14 PM »
A legally parked scamera, a ruthless predator waiting for all those unsuspecting parents innocently picking up their kids and about to be relieved of some hard earned cash.

The question is does this constitute a visible deterent with minimal penalties as if he parked any closer to the vehicle in front, the bonnet would swallow him up.

Managed to save a delivery driver that came from the top and nearly fell into his trap.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.

Visible deterrent my arse!

A day-glo orange $car with flashing lights, parked on the restricted area (using the special dispensation of course) is a visible deterrent. Nothing else will do in my opinion. :bashy: :bashy: :bashy:

A little something from Bexley's website....

Parking Services

Parking Services are responsible for the enforcement of the roads and car parks of Bexley to help the traffic flow freely and to make sure the roads are safe for all road users. Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) are used to patrol the borough and take enforcement action against motorists who are observed parked in contravention of parking restrictions or regulations through the issue of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs). CEOs also serve as a visual and physical deterrent to prevent motorists from contravening parking controls in the first place. CEOs patrol the borough through a mixture of walking patrols, mobile patrols and through the use of mobile CCTV units.

I believe you should have highlighted the "and through the use of mobile CCTV units" bit as well. Or did you hide it in plain sight on purpose, the same way as the "mobile CCTV units" do?
