This is taken from todays News Shopper (Bexley).

I advised him to contact the paper. There are rules that he needs to follow, and 1 of which is dont block the camera.

Why do I smell panic within the Councils now? :-ev-: Calling Plod in on this is desperate and the "Bye laws" excuse is the last straw FFS! Show me the bye law that states that we can`t assist their cars.

I think this little matter will get interesting very soon. :-ev-:

Oh i forgot to say, your see in the paper it says he claimed the officer said, ' Some people wanted his head on a plate' and said his activities were costing revenue.

Well i have talked to Martin, and he says its not just his head thats wanted, 'On a plate'.

Wonder how many heads can be fitted on a plate!!!

Perhaps Martin would be interested in our Statement of Intent?

Did Martin promise not to do it again by the way? I hope not otherwise he will be reminded of his undertaking by the cops if he does try it again.

As it was not a police matter why was police time being wasted on visiting a man not committing any offence and actually assisting the local authority in their obligation made plain by the Secretary of State to advertise adequately the presence of CCTV enforcement?

Would also be worthwhile to establish who in the council persuaded the police that the operation of CPE was for revenue raising and not the prevention and avoidance of wrongful parking.  Clearly a vacancy after that council officer is sacked.

Dear Mr Craske,

I refer to a recent article in the Bexley Shopper:

As it was not a police matter why did someone from Bexley Council cause police time to be wasted on visiting a man who was not committing any offence. Was it you who asked The Police to waste their time? If it was not yourself please advise me who was responsible.

Mr Peaple was actually assisting the local authority in their obligation made plain by the Secretary of State to advertise adequately the presence of CCTV enforcement. It is clear that Bexley Parking Personnel are unaware of these obligations. Please retrain all Parking Staff accordingly.

The issues raised in that article in the first post are appalling.

Freedom of speech?

And banning people who've been warned from asking questions at council meetings?   How about just taking the vote away from anyone we don't like the look off?
